I’m way overdue on having a random, spontaneous adventure. I feel so alive when I don’t question myself. I simply do, and embrace the moments that I can keep for the rest of my life. I hop in my car, hit the road with no set location, nor do I want one. I crave the feeling it brings me with the freedom of just to conquer the world. I feel unstoppable.

I need the feeling when a sudden thought comes to your mind about doing something that you usually wouldn’t do on a regular basis. My impulsive ideas are usually going to a random concert by myself, a new tattoo, or anywhere I can let myself go crazy. That’s why when those moments are given to me, I just tell myself ‘yolo’. I would probably lose myself completely if I didn’t let myself have those here and nows.
I added tattoo number five tonight, and I freaking love it!
I’ve been working back and fourth of what my next tattoo should be, and scrolling through my photos I saw the symbol that Gandalf carved into Bilbo’s door. He was totally against going on any adventure because he was convinced that his life was better off without it.
That’s crazy, right?
Gandalf carves this symbol into Bilbo’s door so that the Dwarves go come to where their burglar lives. It’s where everything changes for Bilbo and his liveliness. No matter how against he was about not travelling on an adventure with one little engraving it brings him the biggest adventure of a lifetime.
Looking downward at my hand at the small tattoo it reminds me to never let any adventure slip away. You only have to go and see what it will bring you, or where it can take you.
Gandalf: You’ll have a tale or two to tell of your own when you come back.
Bilbo Baggins: …Can you promise that I will come back?
Gandalf: No. And if you do… you will not be the same.
