Day 19: Waxing Crescent

Moon Rise: 11:06 A.M.

Moon Set: 10:15 P.M.

Even when the day starts off rocky, there’s no reason as to why you can’t turn it around. I found some lucky leaves while I was outside smoking a cigarette before leaving work, and I brought all of my lucky leaves with me to finish out the rest of the day. They just make me smile.

I started my day over the second I left work early at my usual lunch time and began knocking things off my to-do list left and right.

I’m always excited when that day of the month comes when I get to see my best friend to get my hair done. When I walk into the salon, I’ve at least thought of thirty different hair colors and styles to change up my hair. I have a yearly rotation with certain colors for my hair.

When I say I left the salon feeling so sexy, I freaking felt so hot, just because my hair was dark again with a beautiful, bright red ombre.

No, I’m not one to think that looks make a person who they are. But I do believe that when you take pride, and carry yourself in a secure manner that it brings out your inner confidence. It’s important to live life being comfortable with yourself.

Plus, it only took my excitement about Music Midtown this weekend up another level. I can not freaking wait!

Of course I had to swing by Wal-Mart to grab a few things, and I’ll be the first one to admit I have no self control because I always find the coolest stuff. Well as I’m walking through the aisles, of course they have all of their Fall and Halloween decorations out because it’s pretty much the best time of the year. Well, I run into the kid’s Halloween books, and it felt like I had struck gold.

On the shelf I spotted  Clifford’s First Halloween, Big Pumpkin, and The Little Old Lady Who Was Afraid Of Anything. The three books I grew up being obsessed with reading every Halloween. My inner child couldn’t have been happier with this found treasure.

My favorite Halloween memory with reading Clifford’s First Halloween was making a fort out of my grandma’s giant couch cushion. I was make sure all the pillows were positioned in the right place, flash light, blankets, and halloween candy of course. In that little fort is one of the best memories I will never forget, so to see this book again at 25 I felt the same happiness I did when I was little.

Then, I spot the pumpkins, and it’s never too early to get a pumpkin I don’t care what anybody says. The tiny ones are just so cute to me, but I spotted the most perfect baby pumpkin that I couldn’t pass up getting. I was proud of my little pumpkin. Halloween is my favorite holiday hands down, so I like to start celebrating as early as possible.

Now, I’m back at home in my bed, slumbering with my best friend drinking the mini wine bottles of Sutter Home White Zinfandel, and watching some Big Bang Theory. Just add in the fact that I get to sleep in tomorrow just makes the whole night even better.

I’m going to fall asleep in a good mood and keep the positive vibes following into tomorrow.
