“And when the seasons change
Will you stand by me?”

Like many people, yes, I am a freak about fall. Hands down my favorite season of the year because of the vibes it brings with the leaves changing, new fall activities, the crisp air, and the perfect weather. My list of reasons why I love fall could go on and on for days it feels like.

Every year I make it a tradition to make myself a “fall bucket list”, and I seem never fully to accomplish all the items on my list. This year I’m changing up the tradition. I’m just going to go with the flow of fall instead of trying to plan it out by a list. I want the things I do for fall are more sporadic to make them feel exciting again.

My favorite part about this time of year is seeing how the leaves all change colors. Each day at work when I go outside to smoke a cigarette I am on a constant search for my “perfect leaves” to add to my collection. Some days, I will walk back inside with a hand full of leaves that I had to have. I don’t have any particular qualifications about what’s a perfect leaf because to me they are all perfect. I just pick up the leaves that I feel speak to me. I think Nature has a beautiful way of speaking to you about things you might not understand at that moment.

For many reasons, this a great day to reflect on because not only is it the second equinox in this year, but it’s a new entirely new season. With each change of season brings a change of their unknown. It’s kind of like the year starting its chapter.

I feel like each new season brings a new set of obstacles, adventures, people, and changes within. Certain changes I experience I can only feel in the fall. For as long as I remember things and emotions I experience while it’s fall have always had an extraordinary effect on my life.
